The
"New World" Center works from 2010 as a part of the Helena Modjeska Theatre in Legnica. It is also
one of lab of Wroclaw European Capital of Culture 2016.
It is a meeting
place for people from different parts of the world. That is the most
important here - the meeting itself, which may result in new values.
In “New World”
Center took place animations, research and artistic activities directed to
local residents and visitors from around the world. Till this time visited us Estonians,
Latvians, Lemko people, Germans, Italians, Russians, Jews. We try to combine
cultures, but do not mix them. There were ethnographic research,
anthropological and artistic workshops (theater, music, art), film, graffiti
jam, concerts, bonfires.
Admission is free for all events. The “New World”
Center is co-created by volunteers and supporters, who are the driving force of
this institution.
